- Presentation of the Conference :
Health professionals have realized that the car is an irreplaceable tool for work and freedom. But they were also the first witnesses of the dramas of Traffic Accidents. Therefore, their commitments to the cause of medicine and road safety were early established.
Accredited medicine to certify the medical aptitude for the driving license is little known among medical profession, despite of the importance of medico-legal acts. Every year, millions of medical tests are performed around the world to ensure drivers ability to carry out the act of driving safely. But, still millions and millions of drivers on the road suffering from several weaknesses with real impact on Risk of having traffic accidents.
According to the World Health Organization, road traffic injuries are a major public health problem worldwide and are one of the main causes of death and injury. Every year, nearly 1.3 million people die and millions more are injured or disabled as a result of road accidents.
In addition to causing human tragedies, these accidents cost heavily on our health services and our economy.
Under the patronage of the Ministry of Transport, Equipment, Logistics and Water and the Ministry of Public Health, La Prévention Routière Internationale – PRI, National Committee for Prevention of Traffic Accidents and the Moroccan Association of Medical Doctors who certify the medical aptitude for the driving license (ASMAMAP) join their efforts and expertise to organize this International Conference on “health and road safety”. This conference will be held on 13-14th of December, 2019 in Casablanca-Morocco. It will be a good opportunity to exchange best practices and researches on this issue. All stakeholders are invited to this conference, mainly road safety experts, medical doctors, academia, professionals and NGO’s are invited to attend this conference. We expect in this scientific event to focus on national and international experiences and showcase the evidence between health and road safety, including the ability to drive safely.

Congress Objectives :
The main objectives of this international conference are :
- Provide a space for discussion and reflection between practitioners and all stakeholders and partners in the field of road safety;
- • Make an international benchmark on best practices in this area;
- Present the latest research on themes related to health and road safety;
- Make certified doctors aware of the main concepts and tools related to:
- The prevention, analysis and management of medical faults during obligatory medical checkup;
- The safety of drivers during in Traffic.
- Initiate the approved physician to apprehend the risk approach in their assessment of fitness to drive;
- Provide accredited medical doctors with legal tools, including those related to professional driving and health requirements for safe drive.
This conference is organized during two (2) days and will be a real opportunity to present oral communications and workshops, addressing various research topics on the following subjects:
